Oso and Sleepy- Part 2

They would cruise downtown flipin the swtches to Sleepy's Lowrider and bump the oldies and the old school raps. Sleepy became Oso's big brother. He would tell him how to talk to girls, how to dress, how to walk, how to talk. All the essentials to being Gangster. Oso was inspired to do what Sleepy did. He began to mimick his ways. Soon enough Oso was jumped into one of his homeboys gangs. He got the thirteen second beatin and he felt great. Empowered, he felt like nothin could bring him down. In this lifestyle he got respect. He was like any other youngster in any hood. He was clueless of the pains and sufferin that were tied to that respect he was now recieving. He would soon learn of the hardships that came along with accepting to be a sureNo - a South Sider. Oso and the homies met up in there usual spot. As Oso looked around he saw Sleepy. Sleepy was his usual self joking laughing, havin a good time, he just was Osos light. The one who cared and saved him from the hobo, the one that taught him bout respect and the hood. Sleepy was his hero. They just joked around and payed no attention to no one. As they had their good time a long cream Montecarlo drove by full of Vatos from the other hood. That caused all the guys to get quiet, they were watchin the car park about two complexes from were they stood. They began to let it go, the vatos from the other side had convinced them that they were up to nothinin and they gave it moment to clear all the doubt, but Oso kept watchin he had a feelin like they were up to somthin and Sleepy saw the look in his eyes and watched them just as closly.When it all looked clear the car reversed and sped towards them everyone spread but Sleepy and Oso. They saw the vato in the passanger side pull out his gun and right there Oso realized he was the target, but when the bullet was shot and it charged towards him Sleepy pushed him and the bullet hit him. What seemed to go in slow motion for a few seconds now seemed in fast foreward. Sleepy lay on the ground soaking in his blood holdin on to his last breaths. His Hero, Osos hero once again but this time guilt filled his heart. He got on his knees trin to find any answer as what to do. Sleepy looked at him and told him "Oso, ay litle vato welcome to the hood you know what you got to do right?" Oso shook his head no and said "Sleepy tell me what to do?" Sleepy shook and handed him his blue rag. "defend your hood and get revenge for me carnal" Oso promised him as Sleepys mother came rushing to her dying eighteen year old tears streaming down her face. Oso felt so guilty and as he looked at Sleepy one last time he now looked asleep and peaceful. Oso held in his tears and was full of rage. All he could think of was payback. He was going to keep Sleepy his promise, no matter what. This eight year old was no longer allowed to be a kid. For his respect and homie he hadto trade his innocence. Payback would come soon to those vatos from the other hood. OSO & SLEEPY PART 2
